Training only Frontier can offer!

Don't try this at any of the obsolete ranges in the Knoxville area!
Being built to modern safety and training standards, our ranges were designed to allow down range training and live fire exercises. *

Old shot up and obsolete ranges ranges built 30 or 35 years ago were not designed to allow modern live fire training.  Thus, when shooting in these ranges shooters are locked into firing from one spot at the firing line and are limited to old style target practice.

But at Frontier we designed our ranges from the ground up with downrange live fire in mind.  We not only offer the number one target system in the world, ATS - the turning, moving Active Target Shooting system but also offer down range training where shooters can move and shoot without fear of bullets bouncing back from steel backstops!

Thus, we can fire an AR-15 5.56 at full auto or 12ga slug guns into our backstop from point blank range with no fear of bullet bounce back!

Naturally range operators who can't offer a realistic training environment go on and about making shooters stand perfectly still in one spot shooting at non-moving, "consistent" targets for safety reasons.  And it's true they can't safely allow down range live fire exercises or training because it would endanger everyone in the range.  The fact is that their obsolete range equipment and bullet backstops just are not up to meeting the needs of today's shooters.

While it is a good thing that operators of obsolete ranges honestly admit that ranges are not safe, it is not so good that these same range operators keep telling shooters there is no need to move or shoot at moving targets. That they do is evidence that they either do not understand modern training techniques or the just don't care that their shooters are prepared to come out alive in situations requiring the use of deadly force.

* NOTE: Down range training is conducted only under the direction of our Nationally Certified Firearms Instructors during schedule sessions and classes.

That's why we say:

Train for the real world; train at Frontier firearms.
