On this day in 1941, Ted Williams Hits for .406

On this day in 1941 Ted Williams became the last player to hit .400.  Later in his career he hit his 500th home run.  A great feat given he lost five seasons while first serving in military - first in WWII and then in the Koren War as a fighter pilot.
